About Pink Army

gyrlsPink Army seems an unlikely name for a pop group of young California girls ages 12-13, but it’s actually a perfect fit for Alicia Randolph (13), Charisma Kain (12), and Maddie Simpson (13).  “Pink” represents the feminine side of this electro-pop group, and “Army” represents their unity, determination and strength.  Over the past 2 1/2 action-packed years, Pink Army has performed more than 100 shows and been featured in magazines, newspapers, websites, and TV shows.  They were one of four bands nationally selected to perform at the Legoland Kid’s New Years Eve Event.  More recently, they sang the National Anthem at the Phoenix Suns NBA game in front of 30 thousand people.  Pink Army also performed at Nickelodeon studios in May 2011.

Pink Army’s music has been topping the internet charts for several years. The San Diego Union Tribune called Pink Army’s music “too catchy for its own good” and “embarrassingly addictive.”  “We’re Pink Army”, Alicia says, “and we love to show everyone that girls rock!” That determination combined with incredible talent earned the girls an endorsement from Daisy Rock Guitars and a spot on three tours (School Zone Pop Tour www.myspace.com/schoolzonetour, Jeans Bring Dreams www.jeansbringdreams.com, and PACE Educational Tour www.myspace.com/paceshow).  Dedicating several hours a week to vocal, dance, and performance rehearsals, these young ladies are having fun and working hard to take Pink Army to the next level.  Their fan base (including Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter) consists of thousands including a world-wide street team.

The Pink Army Girls are no strangers to the entertainment industry.  Alicia has over 8 years of vocal training and has been in several TV shows, films, commercials, professional theater shows, and print ads. Last summer she was the face of Radio Disney’s national ad campaign, sharing several billboards with Miley Cyrus.  Alicia has also been dancing most of her life and toured for a year with a hip-hop troupe.  This year Alicia appeared on the Animal Planet network on a primetime television show and made it to the final round of a reality singing show. Charisma is not only a trained actress and singer, but she is an accomplished all around dancer studying in the disciplines of ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and acrobatics beginning at the age of 4 and has received many awards in top-level competitions across Southern California. She is also a current Kidz Bop star and appears in live shows, T.V. ads, and print for the chart topping group. Charisma adds, “I’ve always known I wanted to be a performer. When we’re all together on stage, it’s amazing!”  Charisma also has an extensive commercial and theatrical background that includes several professional productions at the nationally acclaimed Old Globe Theater.  Maddie has been performing throughout California for the past 8 years.  Her passion for singing, acting, and dancing has landed her many roles including “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at the Old Globe Theater.  Maddie won first place in the Del Mar Idol Singing Competition and sang the National Anthem at a Phoenix Suns game when she was only 9.  She has also appeared in films, television shows, and walked the catwalk for Los Angeles Fashion Week.  Maddie recorded with top producers in the music industry before joining Pink Army and more recently released her first single “Shake it Up”.

Pink Army is currently working with multi-platinum song writers and producers and hopes to release an album within the year.  You can buy their songs on iTunes and you can see more of Pink Army on Twitter (www.twitter.com/pinkarmygroup), Facebook (www.facebook.com/pinkarmygroup), MySpace (www.myspace.com/pinkarmygroup), and YouTube (www.youtube.com/pinkarmymusic).
